Promising revival of pension for civil servants recruited after 2004, one lakh jobs and freebies like 400 units for poor families, cheaper diesel and insurance for farmers, the SAD-BSP alliance released today his polling manifesto.

He also promised to end the sand and liquor mafia by bringing the trade directly under the government and establishing a liquor and sand mining company.

The manifesto was released by SAD Chairman Sukhbir Singh Badal and BSP Public Affairs Officer Randhir Singh Beniwal at an event here. They described the manifesto as “courageous and innovative initiatives”.

The increase in the old age pension to Rs 3,100 per month and the Shagun scheme to Rs 75,000 were among the popular incentives. Focusing on the agricultural sector, SAD-BSP promised a crop insurance scheme with compensation of Rs 50,000 per acre, cheaper diesel of Rs 10 per litre, MSP for fruits, vegetables and milk and health insurance of Rs 10 lakh for farmers and farm workers. Sukhbir announced a complete switch to clean solar power to ensure bill-free electricity to every home, student cards of Rs 10 lakh each for higher education, annual health insurance of Rs 10 lakh for all, Rs 2,000 per month to all female heads of Blue Card families, 5 lakh pucca houses and five marla plots to the homeless poor.

The leaders said they would fight for state justice on territorial, political and religious issues. “The SAD symbolizes strong panthic values ​​with a secular and humanitarian outlook,” Sukhbir said.
